All We Need Is Love

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog posts – aside from my email newsletter, it’s the only viable way I have to keep in touch with you!

My publisher, Joe Barton brought something to my attention a week ago that really made me think.  He said, “there are only 2 days out of the entire calendar year that are ‘Wholetones frequencies,’ – April 17th (417) and May 28th (528).”

He also said we should do something special on those days every year.  I thought that was terrific.  In fact, I loved Joe’s idea so much that we’re going to kick off Wholetones Day THIS May 28th!

So be sure to keep an eye on your email on the morning of May 28th, I think you’ll be thrilled at what we’re going to have for you.

Our special surprise can be traced back to the year 1968…

The Beatles released a little song you might remember called, All You Need Is Love

The song really struck a chord in me (pun intended) but I was too young to interpret its meaning.  46 years later, the song still moves me and now I’m old enough to understand why…

Here is my take away: Love NEVER fails … ever.  But of the four kinds of love, only oneof them never fails!

From Greek lore, here are the 4 worldly loves in order of impact:

  • Eros – the  Greek word for physical or erotic love.  Self serving and superficial.  A good way to describe it is Cupid’s arrow pointing at yourself!
  • Storge – familial love or the love between a mother and an infant.  I see this one as a two headed arrow – one pointing toward the mother, the other to the baby.
  • Phileo – the warm affection or brotherly love, from which we derive the name, Philadelphia.  I picture our arrow pointing away from the giver, but hooking back around as it passes through the receiver.  Phileo gets a return on its investment!

And now for the love that never fails…

  • Agape or perfect, selfless love – this is God’s kind of love.  Agape is a love stronger than death, a love so powerful that a Father would forsake His only Son for the whole world!  In keeping with our arrow image, Agape love would point away from the giver and not come back.  This love expects nothing in return, it is forged in the belly of compassion, it is the most powerful gift in all of creation … so powerful in fact that it can change the entire world!

Now let me ask you … have you ever wondered what God is?

There are a lot theories about God’s nature aren’t there?  The bible gives us one giant clue in John 4:8, “Anyone who does not love (Agape) does not know God, because God IS love (Agape). God is perfect, selfless love … it is His DNA!

Now can you see why we are celebrating 5/28 (528HZ) at Wholetones?

528HZ (transformation) is known as the “love” frequency and we believe love (Agape) can change the world.

So this May 28th let’s celebrate selfless, perfect love, by giving to others.

Make it a point to commit at least one random act of kindness for a complete stranger.  Pay for someone’s groceries, mow a neighbors yard, pay someone’s toll on the interstate … be creative with whatever you can comfortably do!

Remember, you never know what one random act of kindness can accomplish.

And wait till you see what WE’RE going to do for YOU on “528 Day!”

Until then, let me leave you with a wise saying from Mother Teresa and a video of a song I wrote years ago titled, “Love Revolution.”

“It is NOT how much you do, but how much LOVE you put into the doing that matters.”
