I have some exciting news to share with you today…
It appears our Wholetones family has expanded since our, “5/28 Day” event! I would like to personally thank you for your support, random acts of kindness, and sharing the event with others, via Facebook and emails.
Once again, YOU made May 28th a day to remember.
Today’s message has a very specific focus: living versus merely existing.
It’s really easy to get into a rut. You know – the humdrum of the 9 to 5, stressed out, “thank God it’s Friday” mentality… no thrills, no chills, all spills!
But what is a “rut?” We hear it all the time, “I’m in a rut… I can’t get out of this rut… rut’s love got’ta do with it?”
Okay – I made that last one up…
Essentially, a rut is just a grave with the ends kicked out! Studies have proven that a habit (positive or negative) only takes 21 days to achieve. When we create a negative environment with our words (words are very powerful, by the way… they can literally make or break you.) or deeds, a less than optimum life ultimately results.
Now here’s the GOOD news: the life God designed for you IS optimum! And it has a name… “Zoe.” Here is the Strong’s concordance definition:
“2222 zōḗ – life (physical and spiritual). All life (2222 /zōḗ), throughout the universe, is derived – i.e. it always (only) comes from and is sustained by God's self-existent life. The Lord intimately shares His gift of life with people, creating each in His image, which gives all the capacity to know His eternal life. And did you catch the numerical reference, 2222, which interpreted means, ‘God’s sufficiency in the midst of man’s insufficiency.’”
Told you it was good news!
You have a choice, choose to live the Life Fantastic – the Zoe life – and let God direct your steps… or you can sing along with Frank Sinatra, and do it YOUR way… NOT recommended.
I liken the Life Fantastic to Huck Finn traveling down the Great Mississippi River on a raft with his friend Jim at the tiller. Huck NEVER knew what he would encounter around each winding bend of the Mississippi River, but he was never afraid because he trustedthe Jim!
So the Life Fantastic is a choice you make – a choice we all make – and it’s easily achieved by trusting God with your life like Huck trusted Jim – but on a much grander scale. Give God “the wheel” and slide over to the passenger seat for the rest of the journey. God knows the end from the beginning and He’s an excellent driver!
I find it’s best to follow someone who has already been where you’re going, don’t you?
You CAN trust God with the life He gave you. Best of all there’s no guessing… and no dead ends – you will always end up exactly where you’re supposed to!
For example…
Wholetones was created by absolute abandonment of my talent, ability, knowledge and expertise so that He (God) might be able to use my heart and hands to create something He wanted to use to heal.
All that said, let me close with this “first fruits” testimony that came in on the eve of the “5/28” event.
“Hi Michael - Thank you for the Wholetones project! Earlier in the week I developed a medical condition that was minor, but caused a significant amount of discomfort. I saw the doctor yesterday and he prescribed some medication and said that it should clear up within two weeks. I purchased Wholetones yesterday afternoon and listened to the first couple of tracks, not really thinking how it might apply to the medical condition. The Lord nudged me to listen to track 1 (The Open Door, 396HZ) again last night before bed. I woke up this morning and the condition was fully healed! No prescribed medication needed! This is only the second or third time in the past 20 years that I have experienced such an immediate healing. Thank your for allowing the Lord to flow his sound through you!”
